Welcome to mía + pia!

Hello! I'm Soky, and I'm excited to share my story with you.

Life has always been a whirlwind for me - a balancing act of being a devoted mom, a wife, and managing a demanding full-time fashion industry career. Amidst the daily chaos, I found myself seeking a creative outlet, a way to escape the pressures of everyday life and dive into something that truly brought me joy.

On a whim, I followed my heart and started crafting beautiful bows and personalized sunnies. It was then that I added "entrepreneur" to my already full plate and our store mía + pia was born.

mía + pia is a heartfelt tribute to the most important ladies in my life - my beautiful and sassy daughter, Mía, and my constant
support, my mom and best friend, Ofelia (affectionately known as "pia")

Surprisingly, it was Mía's playful touch that turned my mom's family nickname, "Pella (peh-ya)," into the endearing "Pia" we cherish today. This change beautifully reflects the sweetness of our multi-generational connection and the special bond they have.

Based in sunny Southern California, our bows and sunnies are lovingly handmade by me (and Pia helps too!), carrying a piece of my heart and passion for crafting. And naturally, as a career buyer/merchandiser I will be on the hunt to bring more goodies your way!
